If you find a wild bird, the law says you cannot touch it yourself, as you could cause harm to the bird or yourself, but you can call a professional avian organization for help. They have trained personnel and equipment to treat injured birds. For the appropriate help, you can check your local directory, or see if the Lily Foundation or Avian Rescue Network has resources in your area:
