IS DOGGIE LICK SAFE FOR BABIES, DR. B?
Dear Dr. Baum --
My son says that a dog's mouth
is the cleanest. He says it's so clean that it's ok for the dog to
lick a baby. Is that true? I don't want the dog to lick anyone's
face.

Dear Patricia:
There is no problem with your son's dog licking
the baby's face. As a matter of fact, I left the first pediatrician
that cared for our children due to his insistence that it was an
unsanitary practice
